Thank you for choosing my images to convey your message.
On the back of each card, I've added a few words to get your thoughts moving while starting your correspondence. My words are simple, sometimes edgy or too obscure to totally be understood. They are just words. Take them to mean whatever works for you and your situation at the moment.
In a day & age when folks rarely mail cards, this seems like a foolish endeavor. I've learned that passion is the real reason behind most people's success. Either in their home-life, in their golf game or in their hobbies ~ passion is the reason why we do what we do without getting paid. Paying the rent is what we do to earn a living. By all means find your passion - be it's slave. Yearn to see it survive. And if it doesn't, oh well, pick a new one.

About me and the cards
I returned to photography after a 10+ year departure. I graduated from East Texas State University with a B.S. in Photography in 1993. Fresh out of school, my photography was too personal to peddle myself around town showing my portfolio. Hauling another photographer's equipment around didn't appeal to me either. I was lucky enough to teach myself a trade, preflighting/digital pre-press, to pay the rent. All my formal training involved traditional photographic processes, 35mm, view camera, the zone system, etc. I wasn't sure about this digital photography stuff. I picked up my first digital SLR, Nikon D300, about 2007. After coming to terms with the aperture ring being useless (I had to do my own tests, I couldn't believe the manual) - it all came flooding back to me. I gravitated to a 60mm Macro lens and haven't grown tired of it yet.
The cards came about from my own 2007 Christmas cards. I had started making my Christmas cards years earlier. When I started shooting again, I wanted to incorporate my photography. I carefully fine-tuned the fold, composed the message and considered the final flat size of the card, 5" x 7", to fit into frames. I didn't realize I had something until I visited friends and family to find my card still on display or framed well into the Spring of the following year. I spent most of 2008 creating cards for my personal use and supplying my co-workers and neighbors. Early in 2011, I started debhenry.com
I have a green-thumb as well. Naturally I'm drawn to flowers and bugs. I don't always know what I'm shooting when I'm in the field. As part of the card making process, I pour through reference books identifying the buds and bugs. Sometimes, that takes longer than the 3 mile hike to capture the image.
Thank you again for you interest in my cards. This is truly a grass-roots effort. The verdict is still out if it will be a bountiful harvest or a forest fire.
Take care of yourself and those you love, deb
